Healing starts by understanding the whole picture.

Bringing together physical therapy and wellness services to help you move better and recover with confidence.

How We Can Help?

  • Physical Therapy

    Physical Therapy

Looking beyond the injury changes everything.

Our whole-body approach to physical therapy looks beyond a single injury or area of pain to better understand how your body is working together. We use what we find to help reduce pain, improve movement, and get you back to doing the things that matter to you.

  • Occupational Therapy

    Occupational Therapy

    Making everyday things easier.

Occupational therapy helps make everyday activities easier, safer, and more comfortable, so you can stay active and independent at home, work, and in your daily life.

  • Massage Therapy

    Massage Therapy

There’s always a good reason to make time for massage.

Come in to relax, work on a problem area, or simply take care of yourself. Massage therapy can also be a great complement to physical therapy. With a variety of massage options available, you can find what feels right for you.

  • Dry Needling

    Dry Needling

When muscles stay tight, the rest of your body often feels it too.

Dry needling can help release muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve movement. We use it alongside physical therapy when it makes sense for you and what’s going on with your body.

  • fitness

    Personal Fitness

Want to get stronger, but not sure where to start?

Our one-on-one personal fitness sessions give you individual attention and guidance. Get back into exercise, build strength, and move with greater confidence—at your own pace.

  • health coaching

    Health & Wellness Coaching

Healthy choices have to work in real life.

Health and wellness coaching provides practical support, accountability, and encouragement to help you build healthier habits that fit your life.

Our Approach

The best care begins by seeing the whole picture.

therapy team

Every person who walks through our doors brings a different story, different goals, and a different reason for being here. That's where we begin.

At A Life in Balance, we take the time to understand how your body moves, how it has adapted over time, and what you want to get back to. Using advanced assessment techniques, including NeuroKinetic Therapy, we identify movement compensation patterns that may be contributing to pain or limiting movement. Looking at the whole picture helps us create a plan that's designed around you.

It's a thoughtful approach to physical therapy and wellness, and we believe it leads to something more meaningful than temporary relief. We want to help you better understand your body, build strength, and make changes that last beyond your time with us.

Led by Dr. Paula Czapla, PT, DPT, OCS, Clinical Director. As a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Dr. Paula combines advanced clinical expertise with a thoughtful, whole-body approach to care.

What Patients Are Saying

  • The quality of my life has drastically improved since working with ALIB. I have had a variety of back, knee, and hip issues for 3+ years. Their holistic approach to treating the whole body, instead of isolated injuries, has me pain-free for the first time in years. I’m most appreciative that ALIB has provided me with the tools to sustain a pain-free life.

    Sandee P.

  • I am a reasonably active older person. I started working with A Life in Balance when my husband and I moved to Flemington 7 years ago. At all steps in the rehab process, A Life in Balance is there to help me keep the physical function I expect from myself. Starting with Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy assessments and continuing with treatment and then graduating to supported physical training, yoga, and Pilates keeps me doing the sports I love.

    Lorette C.

  • A Life In Balance had an incredible influence on the positive trajectory of (my son’s) athletic career at the college level. After his back injury, we thought his dream of playing D1 ball was over. BUT THEN HE MET YOU! We are so grateful for the work you do.

    Linda P.

  • Best massage experience I’ve had—I will definitely be coming back for PT and/or more massages. My therapist did a great job helping me with pain; he is very knowledgeable about the muscles and how they all respond to each other. Until now, I haven’t found relief. Can’t say enough good things about my experience—a true game changer!

    Tim P.

  • Surgery sucks. Recovery was not easy. I am very grateful for the therapy I received at A Life In Balance. Dr. Paula is brilliant at assessing the body, pinpointing muscular imbalances, and determining how best to approach a full-body recovery. The other PTAs supported my care. I can gladly say I am back to full range of motion, and I have a significant improvement in quality of life.

    Tania S.

  • I have Parkinsons and am recovering from major back surgery. This place has a unique program, and your therapy is designed for you. I recommend this to anyone who has physical problems.

    Linda C.

  • I have been to many PT practices over the past 20 years for a variety of issues. A Life in Balance was the best PT experience for me by far. The staff is helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. They provide excellent one-on-one feedback, clear directions for exercises, and attentive care. I highly recommend A Life in Balance!
